I wrote a 400-pg book (the blog post), have done 8 radio broadcasts with the subject (4 here) and am writing a book on the historical picture (corrected history storyline) of what occurred, roughly & how we know the basics in some areas of inquiry. It will be titled: "A is for Apple and P is for Goodbye".
DeleteThe need for the laying out of simple proofs is high, so there are those in the blog & elsewhere, but people also need to remember or think through how they accept or reject information -- just as a jury is reminded how to assess evidence & argument, so they do not lose track of being open & thorough. To the resistant person who needs them the most, reminders of how to reason thoroughly, the reminders can seem to be unnecessary & feel "incoherent" to add to the discussion.
Finally, on the subject of Paul, since you raised his death as a case I've represented here: it is knowable but a trick is sometimes hard to deduce, remember.

ReplyDeleteTo play devil's advocate, is it really any game changer unless the information can be disclosed as corroborated and so forth? Meaning it probably is true, but what if I had said sane thing, that I had this info the Ruskies gave me but I am not allowed to talk about most of it on the radio and certainly could not give it out to anyone. Would that not be a special pleading, and ultimately rest on the word of an "insider"? If the document is given by others and it involves high crimes and treason, would that offset any classification issue? And if Gotdon didn't want the baggage connected to him, couldn't he leak it through someone else so that it does get out to world in such a manner that it could be evaluated on its merits? Just thoughts...
