Please never touch the flat earth theory again Jim. Very hard to listen to. I had to turn it off after 5 minutes ( I confess). What utter utter BS. I would love to hear alternative research on Gravity, Aether, whatever you want - not flat earth ( for heaven's sake).
ReplyDeleteGood call on gravity and aether. There is effectively a moratorium on public gravity research. And the first thing the conmen did to take over science was to outlaw the aether. Something we already knew to exist.
DeleteJeez, this is a joke right? Flat Earth? What a waste of bandwidth. Join the debate? What debate? Jim, you actually had to provide simple facts to prove the earth is round. This is one for the ages.
ReplyDeleteIt was a big campaign on youtube for a few months. People no-one had heard of hiring out halls to give lectures. Wiess or whoever is his name appears to be a Jew disinformation agent.
DeleteI think the next thing is baby-meat in MacDonalds. They try and cover real wrong-doing by way of association. So Weiss shows up with a lot of legitimate complaints about NASA. And some real complaints about the current science. So his job is to associate the legitimate stuff with flat earth thinking.
fetzer didn't "prove" anything. eratosthene's experiment sounds impressive, but it assumes the earth is round; if one assumes the earth to be flat, the same experiment will render the correct distance to the sun.
Deletewhen attempting to explain why the horizon is ALWAYS at eye level regardless of being at sea level or 35000 feet above the earth, fetzer assumes that we must have our perspectives wrong ... we're simply seeing further. yet we are to believe that a ship at sea begins to disappear over the horizon at about 20 miles distance. yet 7 miles straight up and we see no curvature at all to the left or right, and the horizon is still a straight line AND at eye level!
do my arguments prove the earth is flat? no. but they sure are leading one to rethink just about everything we've been taught in government schools. fetzer made a living from government/taxpayer funded schools.

when you see a rocket launch, like the "space shuttle", you'll notice that prior to escaping earth's gravitational pull, the rocket appears to be veering off to a more horizontal trajectory. why isn't it continuing straight up?? and if you say it's because the earth is spinning and racing around the sun (which is possibly more like 4000 miles away and not 93,000,000) then please explain why birds don't fly backwards and why, if you are in an airplane flying at 400 mph and you drop a quarter, it falls straight to the floor.

scottsmith2016.com It's time!
DeleteAnd the space ejects the two solid fuel rockets at about 45 km and well after it has assumed a horizontal trajectory. The larger fuel tank is ejected roughly 7 miles later ... at about "62 km" ... but they have another 38 km to go to break free of earth's gravitational pull.
DeleteBoth boosters and the main fuel tanks fall back to earth, yet the "engineless space shuttle keeps going into outer space? And whilst it has long ago assumed a horizontal trajectory?

ReplyDeleteThere are wild variations given for the formula of the earth's curvature. I've found: 8" per mile, 8"^2 per mile after the first mile, and 6' per 3 miles.
ReplyDeleteI think the only intellectually honest answer to the current flat earth debate is,
"Not enough information."
The "20 miles to the horizon" comment that I made ... that's the number I was told many years ago. Long before the flat earth argument came to my attention.
ReplyDeleteI want to take this opportunity to note that eratosthene's experiment involved two vertical posts inserted into the earth at a distance of 530 miles apart. How he knew that at the same moment in time there was a 7.2 degree offset from the vertical is beyond me. I feel confident in noting that shortwave radio wasn't around at that time!
The more I learn, the more I think it's a myth. Doesn't look good for fetzer's assertion that his PhD is a "research" degree ... unless your addressing Daffy Duck, or Sylvester.

Hey Gerry, I can you get you a one-way ticket to China provided you can walk on water. But don't trip over the edge, otherwise you will be Lost in Space forever.
Delete"Squeezably soft charnin" ... zat you? when'd you get out? have you registered yet?
DeleteNo one has brought up the theory that gravity bends light. Stars that appear close to the sun during a solar eclipse are actually behind it. The sun and the moon are visible before rise and after set for some time. This is attributed to atmospheric lensing but has there been any real testing or was it an ad hoc explanation? Maybe it's gravitational lensing.
ReplyDeleteEveryone has seen a mirage caused by light passing over a hot surface. Consequently, there would be an anti-mirage when light passes over a cold surface such as water or ice.
The apparent size of the sun an moon is a matter of perspective that is not supported by objective measuring.
So, just how many pubs are there along that waterway in England? If I walk down a street in America with a lot of bars on it, at the end, the girls appear a lot prettier than they really are.
Its probably to do with the partial entrainment of the aether by large gravitationally strong bodies. But when this phenomenon was ludicrously used, with a great deal of media hype, to prove Einsteins idiocy, the usual suspects had already made the aether go away through social abuse. Getting rid of the aether is the mother of all science fraud.
